hereby declare that it appears to tis Honour the Officer Administerins the
Government in Council that the tollowins pieces of land situate in the Settle-
ment ot lenans and in the Central District ot Province Wellesley, described in
the Schedute hereto, are needed tor a public purpose, vix, tor the purpose of
the Prai-Parit Buntar Kailway, and that a plan of the said land may be
inspected at the Office ol the District Officer, Central District, Province
Wellesley, any day, except Sunday, between the hours of 10 4. M. and 4 P. M.
This Declaration is made under section 6 of Ordinance V1of 1890 10 211
whom it may concern.

the 18th April, 1898, by which the Ports of Canton and Macao were declared to be
infected ports, it is hereby notified that the order imposing quarantine on vessels
arrivins trom Canton and Macao is withdrawn.

lutons at the Settlement of Swearokk, under the provisions of ' The Criminal
Procedure Ordinance 1873.
Any person may apply in writing to the Sheriff of the Supreme Court for the
Settlement of Singapore requiring that his name may be added to, or struck off the
said List, upon cause being duly assigned in such notice, pursuant to section 12 of the
said Ordinance.
