stated, the details of the plans tor the several Congresses will be arranged with the advice and assistance of the proper Advisory Councilors and Honor- ary Members of the Auxiliary. 5. Of the six months of the Exposition Season, May and June are the most desirable tor large meetings, but the common custom of mid summer vacations, renders those months the most difficult to occupy with the proposed Congresses. It is theretore earnestly requested that such organirations as can arrange to attend in either of these months, will communicate the tact at their earliest convenience. It it were practicable to accelerate the Educa- tional, the Parliamentary, the Judicial and other summer vacations, very great advantages might be secured. The whole series of Worlds Congresses may be regarded as constitutins a Worlds Summer Univesity. 6. While the General Popular Congresses of each Department will neces sarily be under the direction of the Officers of the Worlds Congress Auxiliary, the Special Congresses of Existins Organirations will be in the charge of their oun officers, subject only to such general regulations as are necessary tor the harmony and success of all the Congresses, to be held in a closely con- nected series trom May 10 October, 1893. The largest practicable number of distinquished persons will be invited to preside at different sessions of the several Congresses, and will otherwise be shoun the honor which is their due. 7. Ditterins Religious Denominations, Retorm Societies, Schoots of Medicine and other Organirations, will work in harmony to secure results in which all are alike interested, and to obtain which the Auxiliary will endeavor to exercise the highest impartiality and justice. The following is the general assignment of the Columbian Worlds Con- gresses, by Departments, to January, 1892. It is expected that all the assign- ments will be definitely and permanently fixed by July of this year. In the General Divisions of these Departments, more than a hundred Congresses are to be held. In a few cases applications have been made to hold a Division Congress out of its proper order, tor very important special reasons, but of course no Congress can have as complete accommodations out of its proper Department as would be afforded in it. ton Mav. 1.
