he [Block] had made two ships ready to said there again as one ship would be sufficient to take in the cargo. Among other things he said that he, the deponent, had understood that there were still some other companies which wanted to go there, where upon the said Block answered, if I am willing to Dermit this. The the deponent said that he throught that he [Block] would be obliged to grow it unless he had a patent. The said Block replied that he had à patent, on which the deponent answerd that that was impossible, since the towns had to consent to it, which the deponent know that they would not do. The said Block replied to him again that he would force those who wanted to go thence with his guns. The deponent answered that if he should attempt or begin such a they, and if the deponent were interested in it, he would make the subjects of Amsterdam too hon for him and that he should know where to find him and the owners with their goods.
