From Cormandel on June 25, 1707, chiefs Willem Caulier and Cornelis Boudewijnsz de Sterre signed a document with Bangaar Wenketraijel and Bangaar Letjemenarsoe. Aplonius van Noort signed for the translation in Daatcherom on May 3, 1707. Joannes Spits signed as clerk. This was a written account ordered by governor Joannes van Steelant, who supervised the East India Company's interests on the Cormandel coast. The document concerned money that junior merchant Isaak Seelover had given to traders of the new company from the East India Company's funds at the Daatcherom office to purchase textiles.
