Summary (also from the previous page)

In Macassar on June 7, 1751, Intje Bimbie and her children were among several Chinese women who were either married to Parnackang or unmarried. By November 14, 1751, officials discussed appointing a separate leader for the Chinese Parnackang community in the kampongs during these unstable times. This practice had existed from the early days until the death of Ong Watko. The new arrangement specified that:
  • Those living in Kampong Malaijo would remain under the authority of the Malay Captain
  • All residents must follow orders given by the government to local leaders
  • Those who refused to comply would have to move out of the kampong
  • Residents claiming special privileges could present evidence to the council
The document also mentions a male slave named Madel who was examined by the chief medical officer on the 6th.
