On Saturday, 16 June Willem Zwalf wrote

Joseph Zwalf was my father; He was also awarded the 'Verzettings Kruis', and was made Officier in de order van Oranje Nassau'. He Served in NEFIS in Occupied Dutch New Guinea, and later joined the Dutch Foreign Office and served as Vice Consul In Belgian Congo, Consul In Liege, Belgium, 1st Secretary In Ottawa, Canada, Consul General In Houston, Texas, USA, and Ambassador in Uruguay. He died in 1982.
