Waarschijnlijk was dit de Johannes Rosier die in september 1753 in Delft was geboren. Hij was de vierde zoon in het gezin. Op het moment dat hij 1775 in dienst kwam, zou hij 22 jaar zijn geweest. Zijn vader was een uit Leiden afkomstige lakenwerker en heette ook Johannes Rosier, zijn moeder was Catharina Brouwer. Achtergrond over hem en zijn familie:
