Old documents are often hard to read. The handwriting is different, the language is old-fashioned and the text is long. Open Archives has millions of pages of recognised text. With Plus you get help with them.
On a transcription, you click the button for a summary. Open Archives then makes a short summary in plain language. In a few sentences you read what the document is about: which persons, which places and what was agreed or happened.
A summary is an aid. Always check important facts in the original text and the scan.
Summaries are part of the Plus subscription. Without Plus you can still search and read the transcriptions as usual.
