Question/answer » How do I search for two persons in one record?

Are you looking for a marriage? Or a record in which a parent and a child appear together? Then you search for two names at once. There are two ways to do this.

1. With the & sign

In the search box, type the two names with an & between them. For example: Rodenburg & Groot. You only get records in which both names appear.

2. With extended search

Go to extended search. There are two fields there: one for the first person and one for the second person. For each person you choose how to search: contains, exact or sounds like.

This method is useful when a name can be spelled in several ways. Then choose sounds like.
