Open Archives is a website for family history research. In one go, you search the historical records of more than two hundred archives and societies. Think of birth, marriage and death records, baptism and marriage registers, population registers, notarial deeds and military registers.

Open Archives is a service of Coret Genealogie. The data itself comes from the archives. They make it available as open data. Open Archives makes it searchable and finds connections.

What do you find on Open Archives?

• Persons: hundreds of millions of mentions of persons in records and registers.
• Transcriptions: the recognised text of millions of pages from old documents and newspapers.
• Prayer cards: millions of memorial prayer cards from collections of private persons, societies and archives.
