Yes. Everything you and your family put in the family archive remains yours. Family Archivist keeps it for you, but does not become the owner. You can take it with you at any time.
As archivist you can download the whole archive in one go. You then receive a ZIP file with all photos, documents, stories, news items and responses. That works with the free trial subscription as well as with a Plus subscription. Do this regularly, then you always have an up-to-date backup on your own computer.
The archive is private. Only people you invite can get in. You can also take someone's access away again. Search engines do not get into the archive. Family Archivist does not use your photos for anything else.
If you cancel your subscription, the archive continues to exist within the limits of the free trial subscription. Want to delete the archive completely? That is possible. Download the export first, and delete the archive afterwards.
