Family Archivist sends participants an e-mail when something happens in the archive. That keeps the family involved, even if they do not log in every day.

When does a participant receive an e-mail?

  • With an invitation to the archive.
  • With new material: a photo, story or news item. The person who posts it chooses whether a notification goes out.
  • With a response to their own contribution. If you post a photo and a niece responds, you receive a message.
  • With a newsletter from the archivist.

Setting it yourself

Each participant decides which notifications they want. That can be done on the page Notifications in the profile. A new participant also chooses this when creating the password.

Tip for the archivist

Do not switch on a notification for every photo when you add twenty at once. Tick the notification on the last one, or send one newsletter afterwards. Then the family does not get twenty e-mails.
