A family archive has two roles: the family archivist and the participants. You are the archivist. Everyone you invite is a participant.
What participants can do
- View all photos, documents, stories and news items.
- Add photos and documents themselves.
- Write stories.
- Respond to photos, stories and news. For example to say who is in a photo.
- Add keywords to photos.
- Mark favourites and search the archive.
- Set which e-mails they receive.
What only you as archivist can do
- Invite and remove participants.
- Post news items and make them public.
- Send newsletters.
- Change the appearance, manage keywords and set the order of photos.
- Link the archive to your publication on Genealogy Online.
- Export or delete the whole archive.
There is no "view only" role. Every participant can contribute. That is the idea: together you make the archive complete.
