RKDartists is a database of the RKD, the Netherlands Institute for Art History. It contains a great many artists, art dealers and art collectors. From painters of the Golden Age to photographers of today.

Genealogy Online compares your family tree with this database. Does a person from your family tree probably also appear in RKDartists? Then you get a suggestion.

How to confirm a link

1. Log in and go to Publication management.
2. Choose your publication and click RKDartists.
3. Look at the suggestion. Compare the name, year of birth and place. Confirm or reject.

Has Genealogy Online missed an artist? Then you can add the link yourself. You look up the person in your publication, and then in RKDartists.

What does the visitor see?

The page of the artist gets a link to RKDartists. There you will find more about the work and the life of the artist, often with images. All linked artists are also listed on the RKD artists page.
