Question/answer » How long does it take before my publication is ready?

After you upload your GEDCOM file, your publication goes into a queue. Genealogy Online then creates all the pages of your publication. This happens automatically.

How long does it take?

Usually your publication is ready within a few minutes. It can take longer if:

  • your file contains many persons;
  • there are many images with it;
  • many other publications are in the queue at that moment.

When your publication is ready, you will get an e-mail.

Follow the progress

On the page View the progress of the publishing process you can see where your publication is. You can see whether it is waiting, or whether it is being created right now. The page refreshes itself every half minute.

Please note

Do not upload your file again if it takes a while. You would then go to the back of the queue again.
