Question/answer » What is a collection and how do I add my publication to one?

A collection is a group of publications that belong together. For example, the family trees of the members of a society. Or publications of the same kind, such as memorial cards or population reconstructions. All collections are listed on the Collections page.

Why join?

Your publication gets an extra place on the website. People who search in the collection find your family tree faster. And you show which society or subject your research belongs to.

How to add your publication

  1. Log in and go to Publication management.
  2. Choose your publication and click Collections.
  3. Choose the collection that fits your publication.

Every collection has a moderator. The moderator receives your request and reviews it. After approval, your publication is part of the collection. A moderator can also invite you. You will then get an e-mail about it.

Want to start your own collection?

You can. For example, for your society or your region. You then become the moderator. Send a request via the Collections page.
