Do you keep a family archive? Then your name is shown on the public page of that archive. You are listed as its keeper. Your name also appears in the overview of all family archives, and with news items you publish publicly.
The contents of your archive are not public. Photos, stories and participants are visible only to those who are logged in.
Family members need to be able to find the archive. And they need to see who keeps it. Otherwise they do not know who to apply to. Your name makes clear that a real person is behind the archive.
Yes. We show your name because it is part of the service you use. Privacy law (GDPR) calls this "performance of the contract". You can read this in our privacy policy and in article 19 of our terms and conditions.
We never show your e-mail address.
Yes. A pseudonym is allowed. Just your initials is fine too.
One thing is not allowed: using someone else's name. The name of a company or an archive is not allowed either. If you do so anyway, we will change the name. In case of misuse we can close your account.
