To provide tor the proper publication of the proceedings of such Congresses, as the most valuable and endurins memorial of the Worlds Columbian Exposition of 1893. V. To brins all the departments of human progress into harmonious relations with each other in the Exposition of 1893: to croun the whole glorious work by the formation and adoption of better and more compre- hensive plans than have hitherto been made to promote the progress, pros- perity, unity, peace, and happiness of the world: and to secure the effectual prosecution of such plans by the organination of a series of world wide frater- nities through whose efforts and influence the moral and intellectual forces of mankind may be made dominant throughout the world. rne Worlds Congress Work is divided as tollows:- 1. General Departments. Divisions of such Departments. 2. 3. Chapters of such Divisions. 4. Sections of such Chapters. The tollowing list of Departments, Divisions, Committees and Chairmen, indicates the progress made by the Auxiliary to January, 1892. In each De- partment named in this list, a Preliminary Organization nas been effected, and a Preliminary Publication issued. That publication sets forth the scope ot the Department: the nature ot the subjects to be considered: the Commit tees in charge of the Department and its Divisions; and the Advisory Coun- cils so far as yet appointed. The work is now so tar advanced that much more rapid progress can be made durins 1892 than was possible in 1890 and 1891.
