Tle Beacons with Crosses are Beams with a Cross-tree painted whitte and extendins 12 Feet ahove water-The Beacons without Crosses are Single Beams painted white and extending also 12 Peet above water-
In case one or more of the Beacons should be removed by violence of the weather or otherwise hamhoe stakes Is or 28 Feet above water, with baskets covered with cloth painted black and white,
will be placed in their stead, untill they can ve replaced by proper wooden pillars.
Beacon No. Il stands npon a Rock, not laid donn on any Chart, to which the name of Mathilda Rock, has heen given, it heing knoun in Malay Language by the name of Karang Prol-The Rocks on which
Beacons 18 and 26 are placed have hitherto had no Dutch names, they are now called the Wrange and the Midden Rock.
