InhoudEymert van de Casteel, Pieter Aertss Dael en Willem du Boys, exploitiers van de Gemeene middelen alhier, leggen een verklaring af op verzoek van Jan van Hetsroy, als pachter van de impost en accijns en het beestiael alhier. Zij zijn in het over Maeze op de Hije op zoek gegaan naar Pieter Aryenss en Dirck Aryenss, aangezien bij beenhacker Jacob Mont alhier, volgens zijn brieven op 19 september jl., 2 kalveren zijn geslacht, aangegeven en veraccijnsd, die zij aan hem zouden hebben verkocht. Het bleek echter dat zij niet op de Hije maar in Saerlois woonden. Beiden verklaarden echter dat zij geen kalveren aan Jacob Mont hadden verkocht. Ook stond in de brieven van Mont vermeld dat de weduwe van Cornelis Aryenss, wonende in Zairloos, eveneens op 19 mei jl. hem een kalf zou hebben verkocht. Volgens Pieter en Dirck Aryenss woont zij niet in Zairloos. De exploitiers zijn ook ten huize van Bastiaen Louwen in het Nieuwelant onder Barendrecht geweest, om te onderzoeken of deze Jan van Heusden, beenhacker alhier, op 16 mei jl. twee kalveren had verkocht. De dienstmaagd van Bastiaen Louwen verklaarde, aangezien hij niet thuis maar naar zij beweerde in de kerk was, dat haar meester geen kalveren aan Jan van Heusden had verkocht.
