Andries biedt een ruinpaard aan, dat ongeveer 4 maanden geleden door Crijger aan Johan Soury, zoon van Andries, is verkocht, zonder dat Andries wist waarvoor en onder welke voorwaarden het paard nu in zijn stal staat. Crijger wil het paard niet terugnemen of de koop ongedaan maken. Andries Soury is genoodzaakt het paard te verkopen.Crijger antwoordt dat hij het paard niet kan terugnemen, omdat het paard aan zijn zoon verkocht had.
