De gegevens van de bruidegom zijn niet correct!

Dit huwelijk op 19 maart 1874 te Rotterdam betreft de verbintenis tussen Eduard Willem Sikemeier (Amsterdam, 18 mei 1841 - Den Haag, 7 mei 1930) en Anna Geertruida Verbeek (Rotterdam, 9 oktober 1843 - Den Haag, 11 augustus 1932).

De bruidegom was niet aanwezig bij de plechtigheid; hij was op zee. Daarom was zijn broer 'Jan Hendrik', de toonkunstenaar als gevolmachtigde aanwezig. Hij wordt als eerste in de akte genoemd. Dit betreft de pianist/muziekleraar Johannes Hendrikus Sikemeier (Amsterdam, 16 juni 1838 - Haarlem, 16 januari 1920).

Verderop in de akte staat te lezen: "...heb ik daarop verklaard dat Eduard Willem Sikemeier en Anna Geertruida Verbeek door den echt aan elkander zijn verbonden"

Uit dit huwelijk worden twee zoons geboren, de eerste in Osaka in 1875, de tweede in Yokohama in 1877.
