Omgekomen bij bombardement op brug Doesburg, een van beide leefde nog maar is gestorven op weg naar ziekenhuis. Zaten brood te eten. Een van de twee schijnt het bombardement overleeft te hebben maar is op weg ziekenhuis gestikt, naar verluidt in zijn brood. Hadden woning aan de kade. Moeder heeft het wel overleeft. Waren 's ochtends erg aanhankelijk, of ze het aan hebben zien komen. Info: FMA Welling 1928 in april 2017

Daar de schipbrug Doesburg vernield was door luchtaanvallen
werd door de Duitsers een nieuwe brug gebouwd. Deze werd
6-2-1945 door de Engelsen gebombardeerd en gedeeltelijk
vernield. 15 april 1945 werd de brug door de Duitsers geheel
vernield bij de terugtocht uit Doesburg.

hebben bij terugkomst op afstand het bombardement van de brug gezien.
