After the Second World War, approximately 425,000 people in the Netherlands were suspected of working with the German occupiers (collaboration), such as membership of the NSB, treason, or joining the German army. They were investigated under criminal law. Not everyone was convicted or found guilty. The files of the people investigated are in the Central Archives for Special Jurisdiction (CABR). Most of the people who appear in the card system on the CABR files are suspects of collaboration. In some cases, people are not suspects but witnesses or victims.
This index contains 235,260 historical person listings.
