On Sunday, 26 March Willem van der Steeg wrote
L.S., Zoals ik het lees, is Dirk B(r)uttelaar in Nederland opgestapt op het schip Vrouwe Kornelia Hillegonda en daarna op Kaap de Goede Hoop opgestapt op het schip Zilveren Leeuw. Dirk komt zowel als Buttelaar en Bruttelaar voor in het VOC- archief mbt dezelfde reis. Met vriendelijke groet, Willem van der Steeg
