This is my grandfather! I have given letters from his life in Indonesia written by him, his wife and his son to his parents in Slagharen, the Netherlands, to the Bronbeek museum, together with photo albums. My great-grandfather was Wethouder Johannes Hermannus Reinerus Maria Geerdes, nephew of Antoon Geerdes to whom the Antoon Geerdes Plein in Slagharen is dedicated!
This is yet another piece of the puzzle of my dad´s and my granddad´s life!
