Alle Avis-familieleden van Noord-Hollandse komaf zijn te herleiden tot 'n huwelijk van Dingnum Jacobszn. (Avis of Koet) uit buurtschap Bobeldijk met Maartje Pietersdr. op 15-1-1690 te Berkhout (bij Hoorn). 'n Link met Leiden is echter nog niet aangetoond... Jan en Cornelis komen in onze genealogie ook voor, dus dit VOC-verslag trekt m'n aandacht om wellicht de zaak weer wat verder op te schudden! West-Friesland alsmede de Zaanstreek en Amsterdam vormen al eeuwen 't stamgebied: ook Graft/de Rijp, Alkmaar, Knollendam en Den Burg(Texel) komen in 't plaatje voor! Mogelijk zijn er aanknopingspunten voorhanden!
