On Wednesday, 22 April Peter Thejll, descendant of Wegener wrote

Wegener later sailed from Copenhagen to Batavia, got rmbroiled in revolutionsty troubles in Batavia, and had to flee on the HOLGER DANSKE, which was taken by the British near the Cape as a prize. The court proceedings are kept in the archives st Kew. Wegener had left the ship at Mozambique and was apparently murdered on shore.
