Aangifte van diefstal door Jorryt Jacobs, wonende te Bergum op de Lageweg, oud 51 jaar; verklaart dat hij 18 dezer zijn slijpsteen, die in zijn hof stond, en een bijl miste; heeft van de smid Pytter Eelses aldaar gehoord dat ene Gerryt Symens, zoon van Symen Gerryts te Bergum, hem deze goederen te koop had aangeboden, maar dat Pytter daar niet op was ingegaan. Daarna heeft deponent zich vervoegd bij Pytter Jans, potschipper en handelaar in oud ijzer alhier; deze heeft de bijl en de kruk van de slijpsteen van Gerryt Symens gekocht; de voorwerpen zijn door de aangever als de zijne herkend - verklaring van Pytter Jans, oud 33 à 34 jaar, potschipper en handelaar in oud ijzer e.d., wonende te Bergum; heeft deze en andere goederen gekocht van Gerryt Symens, die heeft gezegd dat hij ze moest verkopen omdat zijn vader in drie weken niets verdiend had; inmiddels heeft ook Jacob Fookes enige goederen als zijn eigendom herkend - aangifte door Jacob Fookes, wonende te Bergum op de Lageweg, oud 44 jaar - verklaring van Pytter Eelses, mr. smid te Bergum, oud ongeveer 58 jaar - verklaring van Gerryt Symens, oud 11 jaar, wonende bij zijn vader Symen Gerryts op de Lageweg ("Leege-weg") te Bergum, gedetineerd; zegt dat hij de goederen heeft gevonden en het geld aan zijn stiefmoeder heeft gegeven - nadere verklaring van Gerryt Symens, na confrontatie met de andere verklaringen; bekent nu de diefstallen, heeft ze samen met zijn zuster Gerrytje Symens gepleegd na sterke aandrang en dreigementen van zijn stiefmoeder Hiske Ymes; hij heeft de slijpsteen in een sloot "aan de Lege venne" gegooid
