Son acte de mariage fait bien référence à un acte de naissance du 5/11/1800 à Namur avec pour parents Jean Godefroid Bertrand et Marie Joseph Dubois ainsi qu'à un acte de consentement de ces derniers absents au mariage.
Toutefois il n'existe pas d'acte de naissance à cette date ou une autre à Namur et l'acte de mariage des parents présumés en 1810 légitime un seul fils né hors mariage, Charles Joseph né le 3/11/1804
S'agirait-il d'un imposteur et d'un faux comme acte de naissance?
