Marriage supplements
Since the introduction of the civil registration in 1811, a bride and groom had to submit several documents to prove they were eligible to get married. These so-called "Huwelijksbijlagen" (marriage supplements) often contain interesting documents like birth records, death certificate of parents and a National Militia certificate. So it's of great value, when you find a marriage certificate, to look-up the marriage supplements!

Open Archives make it even easier for you to find scans of marriage supplements. When you look-up a marriage certificate on Open Archives, in the background Open Archives automatically check for you if FamilySearch provides scans. If this is the case, you will see a light-green box below the certificate information with a link to the right register on FamilySearch which you can digitally browse!
Share your favorite historical documents
You can mark records on Open Archives as favorite. On each page you can find the "Add to favorites" button. You can add a personal remark and you can apply tags to the record. This makes it easy to arrange your favorites. You could for example, apply the label "add to familytree" to specific new found records. Via the "Favorite records" page, which is available via the menu, you get an overview of all your favorites, which you can then filter by tag. The selected favorites can be downloaded in PDF and GEDCOM.
You can now also share you favorites with others. The "Manage your collections" button on the Favorites page, brings you to a page where you can set all of your favorites to public or favorites with a specific tag. When you share a collection of records you get an Internet address which you can share with others, by e-mail, Facebook or Twitter.
